Gardaí and Kerry County Council are warning of flooding and poor road conditions following several incidents overnight.
The town square in Kenmare is badly flooded and council staff are working there.
A stop and go system is currently in place at Foilmore school following a landslide in the area over night. Traffic is down to one lane and delays should be expected. Kerry County Council is at the scene.
The N70 Sneem to Caherdaniel road is impassable at Sneem school, and cars are being turned back.
The road is now closed at the Inny Bridge to traffic in Waterville. Diversions are in place via Dromid and Cillín Liath.
There are also reports of flooding in the wider Kenmare and Sneem areas.
