Five Kerry charity and community group are to benefit from the Bank of Ireland Begin Together Fund 2020.
Meanwhile Kerry towns are being invited to enter the bank’s Begin Together Awards which has a prize fund of over €200,000 aims to help reboot local economies.
Bank of Ireland has allocated €500,000 to 116 projects and organisations across Ireland under the Begin Together Fund 2020 to help them serve their communities through COVID-19.
New Wave Adventure Therapy Wild Project, AK Inspired Ability, Multiple Sclerosis Ireland - South Kerry Branch, Enable Ireland Kerry Adult Services, and Ballyfinane National School are the five Kerry recipients.
They’ll receive up to €5,000 to support a range of projects and initiatives spanning mental wellbeing and physical wellbeing.
Meanwhile Kerry towns are being invited to enter this year’s Bank of Ireland Begin Together Awards, which has a prize fund of over €200,000 and aims to help reboot local economies.
There are 21 awards with the overall winner receiving €50,000 and the title of Ireland’s Most Enterprising Town, and there’s also a prize of €20,000 for the winner of the Rising Star award.
Tralee is a past national winner of the competition, formerly known as the Bank of Ireland National Enterprise Town Awards, while last year, Kenmare was regional runner up for Munster.
