A fireworks display due to be hosted in Dingle tonight to celebrate the New Year has been cancelled.
The annual event attracts thousands to the streets of the West Kerry town every year.
The Dingle Business Chamber decided to cancel the event in the interest of safety as a result of the expected weather conditions tonight.
