Fires that have devastated Killarney National Park in Kerry over the weekend are almost completely extinguished.
Grounds crews are currently damping down the main hot spots.
Over 2,000 hectares have been destroyed in the fires, one third the park’s total land mass.

The blaze broke out on Friday night, with firefights working to bring it under control since.
The air corp has dropped around 90,000 litres on the site.
Kerry’s Chief Fire Officer Andrew Macilwraith is at the scene.
