Fire services are still tackling a large blaze in Killarney National Park.
Four fire engines and two jeeps are now receiving Air Support from the Defence Forces at the scene in Muckross.
Fire services have been tackling the blaze since just before midnight last night.
There is a growing concern for the safety of the old oak forestry in the Park.
The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, along with the National Parks and Wildlife Service, are asking members of the public to avoid the following areas until further notice: Gortderraree, Derrycunnihy, Gallavally,Cahernaduv, Gearhameen, Doogary, Eagles nest & The Five mile.
People are also being advised to exercise caution if travelling on the N71, as there may be traffic congestion in the Five Mile bridge area, while there may be reduced visibility in the area due to smoke.
