The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been notified this evening of one more death from COVID-19 in Ireland and 686 new cases of the virus - of which, fewer than five are in Kerry.

Kerry's 14-day incidence rate is the lowest in Ireland. It stands at 50.1 per 100,000 population. The national figure stands at 240 per 100,000 while Offaly, the county with the highest 14-day incidence rate, is at 437.4.

This evening's announcement means that up to midnight, yesterday (Sunday February 21st), there have been 4,137 deaths from coronavirus and a total of 215, 743 cases.

As of February 19th, 340,704 doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been administered in Ireland - 214,384 people had received their first dose while 126,320 had received their second jab.
