Eight claims relating to trips or falls in Tralee's town square remain outstanding.
Since the upgrade of the Square in 2004, Kerry County Council received 27 claims from people who tripped or fell there.
In recent years, concerns have been raised about the surface in the town centre, including the Square, Denny Lane and Abbeycourt.
Late last year, Tralee MD councillors were told more than half of the area is to be treated to ensure it's safe for pedestrians.
This came after a trial, which treated a section of the Square, proved successful.
The local authority says that over the past 16 years, 27 claims were made by people relating to trips and falls in the Square, Denny Lane and Abbeycourt.
Of these, 19 are finalised and eight are currently pending.
The value of the claims has not been disclosed due to commercial sensitivity.
