The Department of Health has reported 8 additional COVID-19 related deaths this evening.
As of midnight last night, the Department had been informed of 6,888 new cases of the virus.
192 of these are in Kerry, while 2,088 are in Dublin, 862 in Cork, 469 in Limerick, 405 in Wexford, 320 in Waterford and the remaining 2,552 cases are spread across all other counties.
The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 people in Kerry has risen to 1,056.6.
That figure nationally is 1,291.2.
