Kerry households and businesses are being asked to display a flag this weekend in honour of St Brendan.
The Feast Day of the patron saint of Kerry falls this Sunday, and instead of attending a public ceremony, people are being encouraged to hang out a flag of their choice.
Organiser Michael Fitzgerald from Castlegregory, says this year's commemoration is also to honour the county's frontline workers and medical staff, for their hard work during the pandemic.
Any county, country or religious flag is acceptable, and those taking part are encouraged to display their flags between Friday and Monday.
