There's been a delay to COVID-19 vaccine supplies to West Kerry affecting hundreds of people who were due to be inoculated today.
The HSE has issued a statement but has not explained the cause.
A spokesperson for Castlegregory Medical Centre said vaccines were due to be delivered as usual at 9.30 this morning by the HSE National Cold Chain Delivery Service, however, they didn't arrive.
The spokesperson said the centre contacted the cold chain delivery service which told them that it's hoped that the vaccines will arrive by close of business today.
It's hoped that the doses may even arrive this lunchtime.
190 people were due to receive their COVID-19 jabs in Castlegregory Medical Centre.
Annascaul Medical Centre also confirmed that they were waiting for vaccines to be delivered.
Dingle Medical Centre says patients who were due to be vaccinated this morning will now receive their jabs tomorrow morning while it's scheduled that people with afternoon appointments should receive their doses this afternoon or this evening.
The HSE says it continues to make significant efforts to improve its engagement with general practice in relation to the vaccination programme.
At present, it's working with around 1,000 GP practices across two vaccine types.
It says GPs currently get at least seven days' notice of vaccine allocations and that the HSE continues to provide each GP practice with a relationship manager to support them in the vaccination programme.
