Road conditions continue to be poor across Kerry this morning.

Up to 50 millimetres of rain is reported to have fallen already in the county since 7 o'clock last night, with a status orange rainfall warning in place from Met Eireann until 9pm.

Kerry County Council says motorists can expect surface water and spot flooding in all areas.

The council says the N72 Killarney to Killorglin road at Fossa Church is impassable and should be avoided until further notice.

The R569 road at Cahir National School is down to one lane due to flooding and is best avoided.

Flooding is reported on L3009 between Finnegan's Cross and Lawlors Cross and from Lawlors Cross to Ballyhar.

Killarney Gardaí say the road from Killorglin to Beaufort around three miles from Killorglin is impassable due to flooding.

Tralee Gardaí say there is flooding on the Tralee to Ardfert road near Ballyroe Heights Hotel.

A caller says there is a fallen pole on the Killorglin side of St Mary's of the Angels.

Communications Officer with Kerry County Council, Owen O'Shea says a dedicated number is available for the public to report issues on 066 7183588.

Meanwhile, over 100 customers are without power in the Waterville area.

ESB Powercheck says 111 customers are impacted by the fault at Gurranbane - power expected to be restored around 1pm
