A decision by Kerry County Council to grant permission, subject to conditions, for proposed apartments in Tralee is being appealed.
Coralside 2 Limited wants to change the ground floor offices in a building on Park Lane to five one-bed apartments and provide 14 apartments on the first, second and third floors.
It is understood the apartments may be used for social housing by the Peter McVerry Trust if granted permission.
Park Lane Residents have raised concerns about over-development, parking, refuse storage and existing pressure on the sewage system in the area.
The group has appealed the decision to grant permission to An Bord Pleanála which is due to give its ruling by November 8th.
