It's hoped that the date for the resumption of first communions and confirmations in Kerry will be known by the middle of next month.
From August 5th, baptisms may resume and the number attending weddings can increase to 100; however, there's been no direction yet on first communions and confirmations.
Since June, only baptisms which had been booked before July 5th were allowed to go ahead in the Catholic Diocese of Kerry.
Shane O'Donoghue, who is part of the Diocese of Kerry's COVID Committee, says there are ongoing discussions around the numbers attending funerals, along with the holding of communions and confirmations.
He adds that more will be known next month.
