CPO documents are being finalised for a major sewerage scheme in Kerry.
The Kilcummin Sewerage Scheme was originally given the go ahead in 2007; a contractor was selected but a problem developed and the funding was pulled.
Killarney Municipal District councillors were told that it's hoped to go to tender in 2021, with construction beginning in 2022.
Colm Mangan, Water Services Engineer with the council, says they're working hard to make progress with land acquisition, which includes finalising compulsory purchase order documents.
He's hoping that, with Irish Water's help, the current timeline will be kept.
