Fianna Fáil councillor Jimmy Moloney has been elected as Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council.
The annual meeting of the council took place in Austin Stack Park in Tralee earlier.
The Listowel MD councillor says it’s an honour to take over the role from Fine Gael Cllr Patrick O'Connor Scarteen.

In his final official duty as Cathaoirleach, Cllr O'Connor-Scarteen planted an oak tree in the grounds of Áras an Chontae in memory of those who've died of COVID-19.
