A Kerry county councillor hopes the South Kerry Greenway project can now move on to the tender and construction stage.
Fianna Fáil councillor Norma Moriarty was speaking after the High Court dismissed the judicial reviews against the Greenway - a ruling that has been welcomed by Kerry County Council, Kerry TD and Education Minister Norma Foley, and Kerry Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly.

The High Court's decision today can be appealed further to the Supreme Court, but Cllr Moriarty says she hopes those who made challenges are satisfied with the hearing they've had to date.

Kerry County Council says it's currently examining the judgement of the court with a view to assessing its next steps in the project.
Cllr Norma Moriarty believes all views on the project must be respected, and gave what she called a very rough estimate on a completion date.
