A Kerry county councillor has again called on the HSE to provide more resources to UHK.
Fianna Fáil councillor Mikey Sheehy says he’s been contacted by numerous constituents, who’ve been impacted by delays in University Hospital Kerry’s emergency department. He says the extra pressure on the hospital’s ED is due to the reopening of society, which has resulted in many people staycationing in the county and returning to sport.
Councillor Sheehy, who’s a member of the Regional Health Forum, says three months ago he called on the HSE to provide extra resources to the hospital for the summer months.
It’s a call he renewed in recent days.
