The people of Kerry are being encouraged to bring their litter home when partaking in outdoor activities in the county this summer.
Michael Scannell, Kerry County Council's Director of Economic and Community Development, is pleading with people to mind their own litter when they're out and about in Kerry.
He says the council will be constantly monitoring beaches for litter control and car park management over the summer.
Mr Scannell added good habits will catch on if people see others taking their own litter away.
Michael Scannell is also the Manager of the Tralee Municipal District, and he says there is a lot of work being done to get businesses ready for the summer reopening.
He adds Tralee's design means it's very well suited for the focus on outdoor areas this summer.
