Kerry County Council has confirmed construction works have recommenced on greenways in the county.
The update was given by the council's Chief Executive, Moira Murrell, at the recent monthly meeting.
Works on the Tralee-Fenit and North Kerry greenways had been paused due to public health restrictions.
The council has confirmed that works under the roads programme for the year have started, as they are classified as critical infrastructure, and this includes the greenways.
The council says it has detailed measures in place on all work sites to mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19, with active protocols for ensuring compliance with these necessary measures.
