The Chair of the Kerry Tourism Industry Federation is calling for the return of non-essential foreign travel to be postponed for a month.
Pat O'Leary says there will be more Irish people going abroad than foreign tourists visiting here, but everyone who leaves the country could bring COVID-19 back with them.
He adds this will also harm businesses in Kerry, who will miss out on staycationers.

Mr O'Leary says it is a contradiction to allow people to go abroad from July 19th, where they can dine indoors, while not allowing them to dine indoors here.
