Cathaoirleach of Killarney MD says the town would be lost without Clúid's help

The Cathaoirleach of the Killarney Municipal District says the town would be lost without the help of a housing body.

Independent councillor Brendan Cronin was speaking about Clúid, the country's largest approved housing body.

The Killarney Municipal District meeting heard Clúid's development at Coill na Darach on Rock Road will make 59 households available.

Clúid is also involved in a development at Dereen in Killarney, where over 80 homes will become available later this year.

Cathaoirleach Brendan Cronin told the meeting that the town would be lost without Clúid's help.
