Cara Credit Union is removing the ATMs at its branches in Tralee and Castleisland.
The service, which will end on September 30th, was for members with an access account separate from their savings account, and allowed them to withdraw cash at those specific ATMs.
The credit union has replaced this service with a current account, which has a Mastercard Debit Card that can be used at any ATM around the world, in shops, for online purchases, or for cash back.
Also a new €30,000 savings limit came into effect on August 10th at Cara Credit Union, which has offices in Tralee, Castleisland and Killorglin.
Management says this affects 3% of membership; that Cara Credit Union is very well capitalised, and making this change will maintain that strength.
