Cancer treatments have resumed at Cork University Hospital, where many Kerry patients receive care, following the cyber attack on the HSE’s IT system.
Breda Dyland of Kerry Cancer Support Group Health Link Transport says there is still a lot of disruption for patients.
She says private hospitals came on board to offer support, including the Bon Secours in Cork where some treatments are now being carried out.
Ms Dyland praised the seamless co-operation between CUH and the Bon Secours.
Kerry Cancer Support Group Health Link Transport is providing extra transport to bring people to Cork for their treatment.
Breda Dyland is advising patients to ring ahead to check if their appointments are taking place.
