Ken Tobin of Tralee Chamber Alliance says we need more people living in Kerry's towns.
Several high-profile businesses have closed in Tralee during last year and many business premises in the town are lying vacant.
Mr Tobin said that Covid-19 also forced many people to work from home and reduced footfall in Tralee town.
