A Tralee Labour representative is calling for immediate action by the government to deal with driving test waiting lists in Kerry.
Ben Slimm says figures released to his party colleague, TD Seán Sherlock, show there are almost 3,000 people waiting for a test in Kerry.
1,571 people are waiting for a driving test in Tralee and 1,323 in Killarney.
Ben Slimm says these figures are frightening and unacceptable, and the government needs to take immediate action on this issue.
The Tralee Labour rep adds Kerry must be considered for any proposed 'pop up' driving test centres, as public transport in the county is virtually non-existent.
