A Kerry County Councillor is calling on Irish Water to bring forward the start date for works on a new water connection for Ardfert.
It follows two separate water outages in the space of 36 hours in the village in recent days.
Irish Water is due to begin work in the Autumn to connect Ardfert to the Regional Supply Scheme with a completion date of next January or February.
Sinn Féin councillor Deirdre Ferris says there have been 14 outages in the village since last October and believes Kerry County Council Chief Executive Moira Murrell supports her in petitioning the utility to start the works sooner.
