There’s a call for An Bórd Pleanála to speed up its decision on the South Kerry Greenway.
A four-week oral hearing was held into the proposed 32-kilometre route from Glenbeigh to Renard in October and Novembers last year.
Kerry County Council wants to acquire the 115 acres of land by compulsory purchase order, following failure to secure agreement over the years with nearly 200 landowners.
A decision on this was due in March this year, but An Bórd Pleanála now says a decision is with the board, which is the final stage before a decision is issued.
Waterville Cllr Norma Moriarty says it’s hoped the impending decision will be a positive one for South Kerry.
