The army’s bomb disposal unit was called to Castleisland last night to deal with a bomb hoax.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit of the army was requested at Castleisland Garda Station following the discovery of a device.
Gardaí put a security cordon in place.

Later, however, the device was found to be non-viable.
