A protest against racism and inequality will be held in Tralee town centre this afternoon.
Black Lives Matter Kerry says the protest, which takes place at 2pm in the Square, is being held in light of the killing of George Nkencho in late 2020, to raise awareness about racism and inequality, and show solidarity with those affected by it.
Representatives from Youth Against Racism and Inequality (YARI) will also speak at the event.
BLM Kerry representative, Namejs Balodis, says the protest is also about highlighting issues and microaggressions faced by people of colour on a daily basis.
