The Bishop of Kerry is encouraging parishioners to do everything they can to foster and promote vocations in the priesthood.
It comes as the Diocese of Kerry summer appointments show that three more parishes are set to lose their resident parish priest.
12 parishes in Kerry are now without a resident parish priest; this summer's announcement will see three more parishes; Ballydonoghue, Kilgarvan and Caherdaniel being served by priests of the pastoral area, which are overseen by moderators.
Bishop of Kerry, Ray Browne acknowledged the difficulty for priests leaving parishes especially during the pandemic.
Bishop Browne asked parishioners to continue to pray for vocations and do everything they can at a local level to foster and promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
There are currently two seminarians from the diocese in formation.
Ray Browne also thanked the six Kenyan priests who are supporting work in the diocese.
The following changes will come into effect on Wednesday, August 4th:
