Baile An Sceilg was honoured at this years Pride of Place community awards.
They were runners up in the Areas with a Population of three hundred to one thousand (300-1000) category, just losing out to Durrus, in County Cork.
The awards were presented at a gala ceremony in the Hillgrove Hotel, in Monaghan.

They took place in front of community volunteers from across Ireland and were delivered in partnership with Monaghan County Council.
Sponsored by I.P.B Insurance, the competition was established 22 years ago to acknowledge the work done by volunteers and those involved in local community development.
