The Attorney General failed to comply with the Ethics Act in not writing to the Taoiseach saying he's a landlord when he advised against a ban on evictions.
Paul Gallagher, who's originally from Tralee, should have formally written a letter to Micheál Martin, telling him of the potential conflict of interest in the advice.
In March, a national blanket ban on rent rises and evictions was brought in, but it has since been replaced with an system through the Residential Tenancies Board for individual exemptions.
