The ASTI is calling on Minister for Education Norma Foley to engage with them and address their concerns relating to COVID-19.
ASTI Deputy General Secretary Diarmuid de Paor says its members, who are secondary school students, have serious concerns.
These include equal pay, rapid COVID testing and the need for proper IT equipment in case of another lockdown.
ASTI also asked for a redefinition of close contacts in schools and are worried about social distancing.
Yesterday, the union voted for industrial action, up to strike action, if the Government didn't immediately address its concerns.
