A proposal has been drawn up to convert part of a well-known town centre building in Tralee, into a public art gallery.
Artist Adrian Everson has identified the old Protestant Hall on Ashe Street in Tralee, as ideal location for the facility.
The building has not been used in more than 30 years, and the owner is currently seeking suggestions for its future use.
It's estimated a figure of between €150,000 and €200,000 would be required to run an all-year-round gallery space, in the upper part of the building.
Cllr Sam Locke says Kerry County Council is looking favourably on the project - but local artists must come on board:
