The Aqua Dome in Tralee is to reopen next week after being closed for over 15 months due to the pandemic.
The indoor water world facility and its 18-hole mini golf has been given the green light to welcome back customers on Thursday the 8th of July.
The Aqua Dome will operate with limited capacity in line with government guidelines and customers will now have to book a two-hour time slot online and arrive pool ready.
The facility, which is the largest fee-paying attraction in Kerry, is recruiting extra staff to help manage social distancing and sanitising requirements.
Chairman of the Aqua Dome, Denis Reen said, while they are glad to be open again and grateful for government supports, he’s concerned about the knock-on effect of reduced income on the future of the centre.
