The Aqua Dome in Tralee has confirmed it will remain closed until the government makes a decision on the reopening of indoor exercise and activity.
The government announced on Tuesday that group indoor activity, which includes facilities such as the Aqua Dome, will remain closed beyond July 5th, pending the implementation of a system to verify vaccination or immunity.
Prior to the government's announcement, the Aqua Dome stated it would reopen on July 8th, with limited capacity and pre-booked time slots.
The facility now says it will stay closed until the government makes a decision on the reopening of indoor activity, and it will then assess the situation again.
The Aqua Dome adds it does not look hopeful that it will reopen any time soon.
