Kerry’s Tom Crean is among eight Irish Antarctic explorers commemorated in four new stamps by An Post.
The stamps celebrate the significant role the men played in the epic Antarctic expeditions of the 1800s and early 1900s.
Tom Crean from Annascaul was a member of three major expeditions to Antarctica and achieved worldwide recognition for his bravery and perseverance.

The stamps, two for national postage and two for international, are available at selected post offices and from anpost.com.
