An Bord Pleanála has granted planning permission for sheltered children’s accommodation in Killarney.
The residence will be built on Fleming's Lane in the town centre.
An Bord Pleanála has granted planning permission for the development of a three-story building on Fleming's Lane in Killarney which will be used to provide a home for homeless teenagers who are in foster care.
The building will consist of sheltered accommodation, two one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom apartment.
It will also include a TV room, a kitchen/dining room, a therapy space, and an outdoor amenity area.
The accommodation will be supervised by the applicant who would live on the premises.
The two apartments on the second floor would either be rented out or used for independent living for the teenagers as they reach adulthood.
An Bord Pleanála granted permission for the development subject to 14 conditions.
