Almost half of the COVID-19 cases recorded in a two-week period in Kerry were in the Killarney Local Electoral Area.
This is according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, which has calculated the number of cases and the 14-day incidence rate of COVID-19 in all local electoral areas in the Republic.
From June 26th to July 12th, there were 163 cases of COVID-19 recorded in Kerry.
The county's 14-day incidence rate stands at 128 per 100,000 population; the national rate is 156.8.
Killarney LEA accounts for around half of the cases over the two-week period with 82 confirmed COVID-19 cases giving it an incidence rate of 277.
A week ago, Killarney recorded 49 cases and had an incidence rate of 166.
Kenmare LEA had 28 cases for a rate of 111.7, there were 17 cases in Listowel LEA for a rate of 59.3 and 16 cases in Castleisland LEA gives it a rate of 93.3.
There were 11 cases recorded in Corca Dhuibhne for a rate of 77.6.
Tralee LEA had the lowest number of cases with 9, giving a rate of 27.2.
