All six electoral areas in Kerry have below-average rates of COVID-19.
This is according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, which has calculated the number of cases and the 14-day incidence rates of COVID-19 in all local electoral areas in the Republic.
During the fortnight up to April 19th, 16 LEAs across the country had fewer than five cases each, with two of those being in Kerry: Corca Dhuibhne and Kenmare.
Killarney LEA had the greatest number of cases in Kerry with 24 over the two-week period, giving it a 14-day incidence rate of 81 per 100,000 population.
Tralee LEA had 16 cases, giving a rate of 48, the Castleisland area had seven cases and a rate of 40, while the North Kerry area had six cases over the fortnight, giving a rate of 21.
For comparison, the national 14-day incidence rate over the past two weeks was 130 per 100,000.
Up to midnight on Tuesday, there were a total of 4,516 cases reported in the county.
