Lithuanian, Norwegian and Estonian airlines have expressed interest in taking on the PSO route between Kerry and Dublin long-term.
On Saturday Stobart Air, which previously operated the route, announced it had gone into liquidation; this resulted in the cancellation of all flights on their Aer Lingus routes, including Kerry-Dublin.
The Aer Lingus mainline is now operating the Kerry-Dublin route to accommodate passengers.
Editor of Air and Travel Magazine, Eoghan Corry says it's good the route is continuing at the moment.
However, Mr Corry says the Government's policy is anti-travel and as a result he fears Ireland could be left behind when it comes to tourism this summer:
