AGSI says GSOC approach to investigating wrongdoing is grossly inadequate

The Garda watchdog's approach to investigating officers accused of wrongdoing is "grossly inadequate".

That's according to the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors, which is holding its annual conference in Killarney this week.

There's currently no maximum time limit a Garda can be suspended for - but the union wants a 12-month cap on GSOC enquiries.
