There’s been a 99% drop in the number of passengers travelling through Kerry Airport.
That’s according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office.
These figures show that between April and June of this year Kerry Airport dealt with 808 passengers, down from 102,534 during the same three month period last year, a 99.2% drop.
Of those, 398 were arrivals, down from 50,575 during quarter 2 last year, and 410 were departures, down from 51,959 last year.
That’s broken down as 110 passengers in April, 219 in May, and 479 in June.
During those three months, 172 flights arrived into Kerry Airport, and 171 departed – 107 in April, 118 in May, and 118 in June.
When looking at the first six months of the year, passenger numbers at Kerry Airport are down 67% (66.9%) on the same time last year.
A total of 56,571 people passed through Kerry Airport between January and June, compared to 171,140 during the first half of last year.
