88% of owners found to carry bags to dispose of dog waste

Almost nine in ten dog owners stopped by Kerry County Council staff had bags to dispose of their pet's waste.

From January to September, the litter wardens, dog wardens and enforcement officers carried out 87 dog patrols and spoke with 427 dog owners.

88% were found to be carrying bags to dispose of dog waste.

During the period, 22 fines were issued for dog fouling.
