There've been five break-ins to cars in Tralee which gardaí believe are linked to two similar incidents early last week.
Last Thursday, cars were broken into in Meadowlands Estate and Laurel Court in Oakpark.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a car was targeted in Highfield Grove, Caherslee and on Saturday night, cars were broken into in The Anchorage and in Ard Carrig in Caherslee.
Garda Patricia Fitzpatrick of Tralee Garda Station says all the cars that were broken into in the Oakpark, Caherslee and The Anchorage areas were unlocked and items were stolen from them.
Garda Fitzpatrick says they believe these incidents that took place between last Thursday and Saturday are linked to two break-ins that occurred early last week in Tralee in the early hours of Sunday night/ Monday morning, June 27th and 28th.
A Volkswagen Golf van was stolen in Castlelawn Drive but was later found in Banna Beach with tools stolen from it.
Items were also taken from a car that was parked in the Manor Village area.
Tralee gardaí are appealing to anyone whose car was interfered with to contact them and to anyone living in the estates where the break-ins took place and who have CCTV footage to call them on 066 7102300.
