40% drop in parking revenue in Killarney

There was a 40% drop in revenue from parking charges in Killarney last year.

Kerry County Council collected €1,012,792 in parking fees in Killarney in 2019.

Last year, that figure stood at €611,536.

Meanwhile, councillors in the Killarney Municipal District have called for a variety of dedicated parking spaces in the town.

Cathaoirleach Marie Moloney sought parent and child spaces in public carparks and Cllr Brendan Cronin asked for medical parking spaces close to pharmacies.
