Over 3,200 primary school students in Kerry are in mainstream classrooms with more than 30 students in each room.
Enrolment figures from the Department of Education show there are over 15,700 students in primary schools across Kerry, with over half of these in classes with more than 24 pupils.
There are 131 primary schools in Kerry, which cater for 15,740 students in mainstream classes.
Two schools have nearly an average of 30 students in every classroom: those are Scoil Eoin Baiste in Lispole and Scoil Realt na Mara in Cromane, according to department data.
Over 100 classes in Kerry have over 30 students in each room, while there are over 200 students in classes of 35 pupils or more.
Just over 40% of Kerry primary mainstream students are in classes with 24 or fewer students.
Despite having 617 students each, both St Oliver's NS in Killarney and Scoil Eoin in Tralee have an average over just over 24 pupils per room.
