There are 31 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.
That’s according to figures from the Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation.
24 of these patients are on trolleys in UHK’s emergency departments, while a further seven are in trolleys in wards.

Nationally, 761 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals throughout the country.
University Hospital Limerick is the worst hit by overcrowding with 122 people waiting on trolleys there.
