There are 28 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.
That’s according to figures from the Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation.
23 patients are waiting on trolleys in UHK’s emergency department, while a further five are waiting for a bed in a ward.

Nationally, there are 421 patients waiting for beds in hospitals todays.
Cork University Hospital is the worst hit by overcrowding; 60 patients are waiting on trolleys there today.
