Twenty-six (26) fines were issued to dogs owners in Kerry in the first five months of the year.
That’s according to details released by Kerry County Council’s environment department to councillors at their municipal district meetings.
Between January and May, 26 dog owners in Kerry were fined - 11 for not having a dog licence, 10 for dogs not being under control, and five for dogs not being on a leash or muzzled.
The council’s pound also rehomed 44 dogs in the first five months of the year.
